Assistant Principal at Carden Conejo School
In 2009 Mrs. Flavin joined Carden Conejo as the Upper Grade Science Specialist. In the fall of 2014, she was appointed to the role of Assistant Principal.
Mrs. Flavin began her teaching career with the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1995. She worked as a homeroom teacher in second through sixth grade teaching all of the core subjects. She served as a Master Teacher, a Mentor Teacher and Lead Teacher. She frequently delivered professional development workshops at the school and mini-district levels on meeting the needs of second language learners, the writing process, classroom management and math techniques. At Carden Conejo, Mrs. Flavin is responsible for ensuring the curriculum is challenging and relevant. She works with the teachers to provide necessary materials and training. Mr. Fleming has a background in Business and Finance working for television production and distribution companies.
In 2005 Mr. Fleming and Dr. Holly Fleming purchased Carden Conejo School. Mr. Fleming oversees the school operations.
Mr. Fleming’s own two children are Carden Conejo graduates. Mr. Fleming has a lifelong passion for learning. He enjoys seeing Carden students grow and learn with confidence in a safe, loving environment.

Following graduation, Dr. Holly Fleming worked as a software engineer. When her own children were attending Carden, Dr. Fleming joined the staff as the Art Specialist. In 2005 she and Mr. Fleming purchased the school.
Dr. Fleming is dedicated to providing a well-rounded education to all Carden students. As both the Director and a teacher, Dr. Fleming works to meet the particular needs of every student in the school. Dr. Fleming further works to instill in Carden students social and ethical values and a passion for learning and achieving.

Ms. Emiko Madison has been teaching for 27 years. She started teaching at a private school in Charleston, SC and continued her teaching in Atlanta, GA. She finally settled down at Carden Conejo School as a Primary School teacher, starting in 1999. She taught Preschool and Pre-K until an opportunity to help develop Jr. Kindergarten. Ms. Madison and her co-teacher saw an opportunity to develop a class for some of the children that needed a gift of time to grow before entering Kindergarten. In 2011, she was promoted to become the Director for the Primary School. She oversees the Preschool, Pre-K, and Jr. Kindergarten classrooms, staffing and children. She strives to meet the individual needs of each student and staff.
In her free time, Ms. Madison enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves going to the beach, traveling all over the world, and doing martial arts. In the meantime, you will find her out and about exploring.

Mrs. Grassi joined Carden Conejo in 2006 and is responsible for all duties pertaining to the Front Office.
Mrs. Grassi has been happily married for 56 years, and enjoys time off with her grandchildren. Mrs. Grassi often expresses that her experience working for Carden does not feel like a job, but rather as the living of wonderful days filled with joy supporting the education process of happy students and lovely parents. She feels she is very blessed to be a part of Carden Conejo’s fantastic staff.
Mrs. Oroz has been at Carden since 2022. She works in the office under the Head of School. She helps with admissions, events, and many other projects. Additionally, Mrs. Oroz is our “Lunch lady”, and finishes her day as the Study Hall teacher.
Mrs. Oroz worked for Moorpark Unified School District in the Special Education Department before coming to Carden.
She loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She has been married for over 30 years and has two children.
