Middle School
Carden Conejo Middle School begins with Sixth Grade, launching an inspiring new chapter that blends the accelerated Carden curriculum families love with innovative project-based learning, leadership development, and purposeful exploration. Designed specifically for the needs of emerging adolescents, our program goes far beyond a traditional middle school, offering rigorous academics, enriching exploratory classes, a growing clubs and leadership program, and a brand-new Athletics Division, all within a warm, values-based environment where every child is truly known. At the heart of the experience is our Cornerstone framework, including a dynamic Advisory Program, hands-on Project-Based Learning, a meaningful Servant Leadership and community service program, and a culminating 8th Grade Capstone Project. Together, these elements cultivate confident scholars, compassionate leaders, and engaged citizens who think critically, communicate effectively, and lead with purpose. A Confident Launch into Secondary Education
Carden Conejo’s Sixth Grade program offers students a unique opportunity to transition into middle school with confidence, curiosity, and a sense of purpose. This foundational year sets the tone for academic independence, leadership, and a deepening connection to self and community.
In small, supportive classes, sixth-grade students engage in more complex, interdisciplinary projects. With guidance and encouragement, they develop the organizational habits, study skills, and self-advocacy essential for success in later grades.
What We Teach
Well-Rounded Academic Foundation
- Language Arts: Literature, grammar, creative writing, vocabulary, and public speaking using the Advanced Carden Method
- French: Conversational fluency, grammar, culture, and vocabulary expansion

- Music & Performing Arts: Ensemble work, vocal performance, rhythm, and optional instrument practice
